Peptide Therapy in Los Gatos
Short amino-acid chains with precise jobs: repair, metabolism, sleep, skin, focus. Prescribed on data, pulsed on purpose.
Your body runs on peptide signals. It makes over 7,000 of them, short chains of amino acids telling cells when to repair, burn, build and sleep, and that signaling gets quieter with age. Peptide therapy is how I turn specific signals back up: deliberately, on your data, one pathway at a time.

What are peptides?
Peptides are signaling molecules. Each one speaks to a specific pathway: tissue repair, muscle recovery, metabolic health, immune regulation, cognition, sleep. Peptide therapy administers chosen peptides by injection as part of a doctor-directed plan, selected from your physiology, your goals and your labs rather than from a standard protocol.
Where the evidence stands
Cutting-edge
On this site every tool carries a grade, and peptides sit at Cutting-edge. The range inside that label is wide. At one end are the GLP-1s, mainstream prescription medicine I have prescribed since 2014. At the other are compounds still building their research base. Some peptides can genuinely help serious conditions; others, used wrong, can do harm. Part of my job is telling you which end of that range the compound you are curious about actually sits on.
What peptides can address
The patterns I most often reach for peptides on: fatigue and brain fog that creep in with age, recovery that takes longer than it used to, skin aging and hair thinning, joint stiffness and declining bone density, age-related muscle loss, and an immune system that misses more often than it catches. And sometimes nothing is wrong at all: you feel fine and want a higher baseline. Both are legitimate reasons to be here.
How I run peptides
Test first
Hormonal panels (cortisol, DHEA-S, estradiol, progesterone, SHBG, FSH, testosterone, prolactin), metabolic testing (VO₂ max and mitochondrial function, thyroid, insulin sensitivity), and immune and inflammation markers (ESR, cytokines, autoimmune panels) map where your biology actually is before anything gets prescribed.
Then orchestrate
Peptides are pulsed, cycled and stacked, and that choreography is where untrained protocols go wrong. Yours is built, adjusted and monitored against follow-up labs and measurable milestones, and where the case calls for it I pair peptides with NAD, IV therapy or hyperbaric oxygen.
The peptides I work with
One list, honestly labeled: the uses below are what each compound is used for in practice, compressed, not promised. The evidence depth varies a lot from compound to compound, and availability shifts; if you don't see what you are looking for, ask.
Repair, skin and recovery
| Compound | Used for |
|---|---|
| BPC-157 | Chronic joint, tendon and muscle pain; structural recovery; also studied for brain health and memory |
| Thymosins (alpha, beta-4 / TB-500) | Immune function, tissue and soft-tissue repair, flexibility, hair-follicle recovery |
| GHK-Cu | Collagen production, antioxidant defense, skin remodeling, wound healing |
| Glow (GHK-Cu + BPC-157 + KPV) | Skin healing and appearance, collagen and elastin, fine lines, hair |
| KPV | Inflammation, gut integrity |
Growth-hormone axis
| Compound | Used for |
|---|---|
| Sermorelin | Stimulating your own GH pathway: energy, metabolism, recovery, sleep and focus |
| CJC-1295 | Steady GH release: muscle mass, fat metabolism, recovery |
| Ipamorelin + CJC-1295 | The combo for natural GH release: muscle, sleep quality, energy, body composition |
| Tesamorelin | Abdominal fat, body composition |
| IGF-1 LR3 | Muscle building and repair, fat breakdown, skin resilience |
Metabolic and weight
| Compound | Used for |
|---|---|
| Semaglutide | Blood sugar in type 2 diabetes; at higher doses, appetite and weight |
| Tirzepatide | Two gut hormones: insulin response, hunger, digestion speed |
| MOTS-C | Cellular energy use, metabolic efficiency, endurance |
| Kisspeptin | Metabolism, appetite, reproductive-hormone regulation |
| AOD 9604 | Stored-fat breakdown, body recomposition |
| Fragment 176-191 | Fat breakdown without growth or insulin effects |
| 5-Amino-1MQ | Fat metabolism, cellular energy production |
| hCG | Appetite suppression and stored-fat burning inside a structured, coached protocol: see the hCG protocol |
If weight loss is your whole question, that is its own doctor-run program at the clinic; start there rather than here.
Brain, sleep and mood
| Compound | Used for |
|---|---|
| Semax | Focus, memory and learning; mood and anxiety; neuroprotection |
| Selank | Learning, memory, stress resilience |
| Dihexa | Memory and brain repair; originally studied for Alzheimer's disease |
| Cerebrolysin | Memory and focus; used in recovery after brain injury or stroke |
| DSIP | Deep, restorative sleep; stress; recovery |
| Epitalon | Sleep patterns, cellular resilience, longevity |
| PT-141 | Sexual desire and arousal, via brain pathways |
Who should skip them
Not while pregnant or breastfeeding. If you are managing something serious, cancer, cardiovascular disease, an autoimmune condition, we move carefully and talk to your other doctors first: some peptides can help serious conditions, and others can make them worse.
Why do this with me
Peptides reward orchestration and punish guesswork. I am trained and certified in peptide therapy, I have prescribed peptides since 2004, and I wrote my first GLP-1 prescription in 2014, a decade before everyone else discovered them. Peptide care at my Los Gatos clinic runs the way the rest of my medicine runs: labs first, then the compound, then the follow-up that decides what happens next.
The alternative is real, so I will name it: anonymous websites mailing research-grade vials with no doctor and no dosing logic. Pulsing, cycling and stacking are why this runs through a doctor and not a shopping cart.
FAQ
How quickly do peptides work?
Many people notice changes within days. Full benefits vary by compound and by person.
How long do the effects last?
The peptide itself clears quickly; the response it triggers is the point. Used consistently and cycled correctly, the longer-term improvements in recovery, metabolism and cellular function are what you keep.
Do I need a prescription?
Some peptides are prescription-only and some are not, and not every treatment needs blood work first. What everything gets is doctor oversight, because dosing, pulsing and stacking are where peptides go right or wrong.
